תיצור שקופית 1 על Title: Caregiving in a Dyadic Trauma Context: Burden, Loneliness, and Relationship Dynamics Among Second-Generation Caregivers of Holocaust Survivors Abstract Background: Holocaust survivors experience elevated levels of chronic morbidity in later life, often accompanied by functional and cognitive decline and increasing caregiving demands. For second-generation adult children, caregiving occurs within a unique context of intergenerational trauma. A dyadic perspective conceptualizes caregiving as a mutual relational process between the caregiver and care recipient. Parental trauma-related distress may shape the quality of such a dyadic relationship, potentially intensifying the emotional burden and loneliness of caregivers. Objectives: To examine associations between perceived parental trauma-related distress, dyadic relationship quality, loneliness, and caregiver burden among second-generation caregivers, and to explore caregivers’ lived experiences and meaning of caregiving within this dyadic trauma context. Methods: We will employ a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design. The quantitative phase will consist of a cross-sectional survey of 100 second-generation adult children providing care to a Holocaust-survivor parent with functional, medical, or cognitive care needs. Validated measures will assess caregiver burden, loneliness, dyadic relationship, and perceived parental trauma-related distress. Data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, bivariate analyses, and multivariable linear regression. The qualitative phase will include 15 semi-structured interviews, purposively sampled to capture variation in burden and relationship characteristics, and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Contribution: The results will identify relational patterns associated with increased caregiver burden and loneliness among second-generation caregivers. Findings will inform clinicians and service providers about unmet needs and potential points of intervention in caregiving for Holocaust-survivor families. אני צריכה להעביר את השקופית הזאת במשך 60 שניות- הצגת מחקר בעברית

Abstract
Background: Holocaust survivors experience elevated levels of chronic morbidity in later life, often accompanied by functional and cognitive decline and increasing caregiving demands.
