Materials & Methods A prospective educational innovation project was conducted at Government Medical College Hospital, Kallakurichi, from June 2024 to June 2026. Fifteen children undergoing cochlear implantation were used as longitudinal learning cases. Fifteen multidisciplinary case discussions involved 10 departments. More than 50 undergraduate students and residents participated. Faculty feedback, learner reflections and competency assessments were collected using structured tools, with evaluation mapped to the Kirkpatrick framework. Results The programme enabled repeated exposure to multidisciplinary decision-making, patient-centred communication, perioperative care and follow-up. Faculty feedback from 10 participants and competency assessments/learner reflections from 10 learners indicated positive educational value, improved understanding of interprofessional roles and greater engagement with competency-based learning. Conclusion A cochlear implant programme can function as a living clinical classroom, linking patient care with leadership, teamwork and competency-based medical education. Such programmes may provide sustainable opportunities for experiential and interprofessional learning.
