Impact of Alcohol and Metabolic Risk on Liver Events
Impact of Alcohol and Metabolic Risk on Liver Events
Created using ChatSlide
This study from UK Biobank (329,526 participants) evaluated how alcohol intake and cardiometabolic risk factors (CMRFs) contribute to liver-related events. Results show alcohol consumption had the strongest association, while CMRFs remained significant in low alcohol intake groups. High alcohol weakened CMRF-LRE association. Authors recommend reducing alcohol and managing CMRFs, highlighting relevance of MetALD nomenclature.
