Enhancing Engineering Resource Management with HCI Insights

This project focuses on optimizing resource management using HCI principles such as Miller's Law and the Von Restorff Effect. It involved developing three prototypes (V1, V2, V3) to enhance usability through tasks like allocation, filtering, and status toggles. User studies revealed V3 reduces cognitive load, while V2 minimizes errors with high-contrast design. Results validate improved efficiency and error prevention, with future work aiming to integrate strengths of V2 and V3.
