Effective Presentation Strategies

This study explores Filled Pauses (FPs) within Ukrainian Broadcast News, addressing gaps in FP research. It defines FPs' communicative and cognitive roles, analyzes 5 hours of annotated speech through acoustic methods, and identifies key linguistic and gender-based patterns. Findings highlight comparative insights across languages and potential applications in speech technology, paving the way for advancing FP research.
