Presentation: Should Students Use AI in Education? Topic: Whether students should use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for learning at school. Presentation Text (Script): In this presentation, I’m going to talk about whether students should use artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT for learning at school. I’d like to begin by saying that I can see some reasons why some people think students shouldn’t use AI. Firstly, if students use AI all the time to write essays or solve problems, they might stop thinking for themselves. Secondly, it is very easy to cheat, and students might not gain actual knowledge if they just copy and paste answers. What’s more, AI isn’t always accurate, so it can give incorrect information that misleads learners. But personally, I can see a lot more reasons why AI can be extremely useful for students. First of all, AI can act as a personal tutor that is available 24/7. It can explain difficult subjects, like maths or grammar, in simple steps. For example, if you don’t understand a topic in class, you can ask AI to explain it with easy examples until you get it. Take homework assistance, for instance: AI doesn’t have to do the work for you, but it can help you brainstorm ideas and organize your thoughts. Another thing is that using AI prepares us for the future, because technology will be an important part of almost every career. Furthermore, learning how to write good questions (prompts) for AI develops critical thinking skills. To sum up, I think there are valid concerns about relying too much on AI. However, the point I’m trying to make is that AI is just a tool, and if we learn to use it responsibly, it can make studying much more effective and interesting.
