Apple's iPhone Duo introduces a new kind of mobile workspace, and ChatSlide is ready for it. What ChatSlide support for iPhone Duo means

ChatSlide runs through the browser. A user can sign in from the phone, start from notes, a brief, a PDF, or a research paper, generate a presentation draft, and export the result as a PowerPoint file. The same cloud account makes it possible to begin on the phone and continue on a larger screen when detailed editing calls for more room.

For this compatibility pass, we modeled both iPhone Duo displays from Apple's published specifications. The outer-display test used a 466 by 678 CSS-pixel mobile viewport. The open inner-display test used an 890 by 626 CSS-pixel viewport. Both loaded ChatSlide's public sign-in experience with HTTP 200. In each case, the page width matched the browser width, with zero horizontal overflow. The heading, three buttons, and email field remained present in both layouts.

This is a pre-release browser compatibility result. Apple says iPhone Duo pre-orders begin October 16 and retail availability begins October 23, so production hardware was not available for the test. We are reporting what was actually measured, not claiming a retail-device certification before customers can buy the phone.

Two displays create two presentation modes

The official iPhone Duo specifications list a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner folding display. The outer screen has a resolution of 1398 by 2034 pixels. The inner screen has a resolution of 1878 by 2670 pixels. Apple describes the closed device as pocketable and the open device as its largest iPhone display yet.

Those two states suit different parts of presentation work.

When iPhone Duo is closed, the outer display is a good fit for short, focused actions: signing in, entering a topic, checking the generated outline, reading a slide title, or confirming that a project is saved. Open the device and the working area changes. How much larger is the iPhone Duo canvas?

Diagonal measurements are easy to recognize, but pixel counts better describe how much display information the hardware can draw. We multiplied the horizontal and vertical resolution published by Apple for each display. For context, we also calculated the totals for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max from Apple's technical specifications.

Source and method: Apple technical specifications accessed September 11, 2026. Total pixels equal horizontal resolution multiplied by vertical resolution. Percentages use the iPhone Duo outer display as the denominator and are rounded to one decimal place.

The citable result is simple: the iPhone Duo inner display contains 5.01 million pixels, 76.3 percent more than its outer display and 58.6 percent more than the iPhone 18 Pro display. It also contains 32.5 percent more pixels than the iPhone 18 Pro Max display.

Pixel count does not translate directly into an equal increase in usable browser area. Device scaling, browser controls, orientation, and application layout all matter. It does show why the open phone is meaningfully different from putting the same interface on a slightly larger conventional handset.

How to use ChatSlide on iPhone Duo

The most efficient workflow divides the task according to the screen state.

1. Start closed

Open ChatSlide in Safari or another current browser and sign in. Use the outer display for the first prompt or source selection. A short topic, meeting summary, or lesson objective is easy to enter without unfolding the device.

2. Add the source material

Choose the material that should drive the deck. ChatSlide can work from notes, PDFs, briefs, and research papers. A strong source reduces the amount of correction required later because the presentation begins with the user's actual evidence and structure.

3. Open iPhone Duo for review

Once the first draft is ready, open the phone. The inner display provides the better review canvas. Check whether the title matches the audience, whether the outline has a clear beginning and conclusion, and whether individual slides carry one main idea each.

4. Make focused changes

Use the phone for high-value corrections rather than trying to perfect every visual detail. Rewrite a weak title, remove a repeated point, clarify a chart caption, or reorder a section. These edits improve the presentation without demanding a desktop-sized workspace.

5. Export and perform the final device check

Export the deck as PowerPoint when the content is ready. Open that file on the computer that will drive the classroom display, meeting-room screen, or conference projector. This final check catches font substitution, media restrictions, and venue-specific display differences.

Add ChatSlide to the Home Screen

The browser workflow does not require a separate device-specific installation. Apple lets users save a website to the iPhone Home Screen as a web app. Its official web-app instructions direct users to open the website in Safari, choose Share, select Add to Home Screen, and enable Open as Web App.

That gives ChatSlide an icon and a dedicated app-like window. The feature is useful for people who regularly begin presentation work on the phone, and it avoids depending on an old browser tab. The account and projects remain the same.

The Duo's open layout is not equally valuable for every step. It makes the biggest difference when information needs to be seen in context.

A sales deck benefits because the presenter can judge whether a sequence builds toward the requested decision. An educational deck benefits because learning objectives, examples, and recap slides are easier to compare as a set.

The outer screen remains useful precisely because it is smaller. It encourages short actions. A user can capture the idea, launch the generation, and return later. The inner screen takes over when the task changes from capture to judgment.

Our verdict is that iPhone Duo is most useful for presentations as a two-stage device: the outer display captures intent, and the inner display supports review. That division is more practical than treating the foldable as a miniature laptop.

What was tested and what remains untested

The test covered the publicly accessible ChatSlide sign-in interface at two representative browser dimensions derived from Apple's device-pixel widths using a 3× normalization. Both pages rendered in English, returned 200, kept the heading and controls visible, and showed no document-level horizontal overflow.

We did not test a physical hinge transition, thermal behavior, battery use during generation, browser memory limits on retail hardware, or a complete authenticated editing session on a production iPhone Duo. Those checks require the released device and a controlled test account. They should not be inferred from a viewport simulation.

This distinction matters because “support” has layers. Responsive entry-page support can be verified before release. Hardware-specific behavior must wait for hardware. The current result is enough to say that ChatSlide's browser entry experience is ready for both published screen shapes, with broader production testing to follow after shipment.

Is there an iPhone 18 Duo?

No model with that exact name appears in Apple's September 2026 lineup. Apple announced iPhone Duo as the foldable model and iPhone 18 Pro plus iPhone 18 Pro Max as separate conventional models. Searches for “iPhone 18 Duo” are understandable, but the product page, technical specifications, press image, and purchasing materials all use iPhone Duo.

Using the correct model name matters for support searches. Someone looking for compatible apps, presentation tools, accessories, or display details is more likely to find accurate information under “iPhone Duo.”
