ChatSlide AI is a free AI-powered presentation maker that transforms documents, topics, and research into professional slides in seconds. Upload a PDF, paste a URL, or describe your topic — the AI handles layout, design, and content organization.

Is ChatSlide AI free to use?

Yes! ChatSlide AI offers a free tier with access to GPT-4o, AI slide generation, and PPTX export. Premium plans unlock additional features like longer presentations, AI video generation, custom branding, and priority processing.

What file formats can I upload?

You can upload PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, and various image formats. You can also import content from URLs, YouTube videos, and research databases like PubMed, OpenAlex, and ClinicalTrials.gov.

What output formats are available?

ChatSlide generates standard PPTX files compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, and LibreOffice Impress. You can also export to PDF, or generate AI videos from your slides.

Which AI models does ChatSlide use?

ChatSlide uses GPT-4o as the default model (free for all users). Premium users on the Ultimate tier also get access to GPT-5.3 for higher-quality generation. For images, we offer 29 AI models including Imagen 4, FLUX, and Stable Diffusion.

How many slides does the AI generate?

The number of slides depends on your input. Short topics typically produce 8-15 slides. Longer documents can generate 20-40 slides. The AI intelligently breaks content into digestible portions, ensuring each slide communicates a clear point.

Can I customize the generated slides?

Yes. You can edit slides directly in ChatSlide using the built-in editor, or download the PPTX file and customize it in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. Colors, fonts, layouts, images — everything is fully editable.

Does ChatSlide support multiple languages?

Yes, ChatSlide supports content in 50+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and more. You can also translate existing presentations between languages.

What plans are available?

ChatSlide offers Free, Plus, Pro, and Ultimate tiers. Free includes GPT-4o and basic features. Plus and Pro add more credits, AI video, and advanced features. Ultimate unlocks GPT-5.3 and maximum limits. All paid plans are available monthly or yearly.

Is there an education discount?

Yes! Students and educators with a .edu email get 40% off all yearly plans. Visit the pricing page and select "Education" to apply the discount.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your premium features remain active until the end of your billing period. No refund is issued for partial months.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Contact support@chatslide.ai with your account email and reason for the refund request.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All uploads are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not use your content to train AI models. Files are processed on secure cloud infrastructure and you can delete your data at any time from your account settings.

Who can see my presentations?

Your presentations are private by default. Only you can access them unless you explicitly share them via a public link. You control sharing permissions for each project.

How long are uploaded files retained?

Uploaded files and generated presentations are stored in your account until you delete them. We do not automatically delete your content. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

What browsers are supported?

ChatSlide works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox for the best experience.

Is there a file size limit?

Free users can upload files up to 20MB. Premium users can upload up to 100MB per file. For very large documents, we recommend splitting them into sections.

Can I use ChatSlide on mobile?

Yes, ChatSlide works on mobile browsers. The interface is responsive and you can create, edit, and share presentations from your phone or tablet. For the best editing experience, we recommend using a desktop browser.

Does ChatSlide have an API?

Not yet, but we are working on a public API for enterprise customers. Contact us at support@chatslide.ai if you are interested in API access for bulk presentation generation.
