Script-to-Video: Scene-by-Scene Talking-Head Videos

Paste your script scene by scene and get a YouTube-style talking-head video: each scene is matched with an auto-picked stock B-roll clip that fills the frame, while your chosen avatar — Azure, Jogg, or your own clone — presents from the corner.

Choose Where Slide Images Come From

Designv2 now lets you pick the image source for your deck: pull figures straight from your uploaded documents, mix uploads with online images, or use online images only. Great for medical, research, and brand decks where the right visuals already live in your files.

Paste a Script — Get a Deck With Verbatim Speaker Notes

Already have a YouTube, podcast, or webinar script? Pick the new 'Paste a Script' mode on the Summary page and ChatSlide slices it into per-slide sections — one slide per section, with each slide's speaker notes carrying the exact words you wrote. No paraphrasing, the Scripts step is auto-skipped, and slide count matches your script structure 1:1.

'Fill Missing Scripts' From the Slide Chat

Have a deck where some slides have speaker notes and some don't? Ask the slide chat 'fill the missing scripts' and ChatSlide generates context-aware speaker notes for every empty slide while keeping the ones you already wrote untouched. Previously this routed to a single-slide action and produced opening/closing wording mid-deck.

'Change Numbering to Bullets' Now Just Changes the Format

Asking the slide chat for format-only changes — 'switch numbering to bullets', 'make the second point bold', 'use plain text instead of bullets' — now keeps every word of your content exactly as written. Earlier it would silently rewrite the slide. Pair it with the new per-slide list-style toggle (numbered / bullet / plain).

Two New Modern Themes: Studio Soft + Editorial

Two new Gamma-inspired themes join the Modern family. Studio Soft pairs Playfair Display headings with warm cream and sand palettes for a softer, more editorial feel. Editorial leans into serif/sans contrast for reports, manifestos, and long-form pitches. Both ship with all six Modern palettes (Cloud White, Ink Black, Mint Pastel, Sunset Coral, Lavender Mist, Sage Stone).

Talking-Head Videos with Sidebar Avatar + Auto B-Roll

Generate YouTube-style explainer videos where the AI avatar sits in a sidebar on the right and your slides — or matching stock B-roll clips — fill the left 70% of the frame. Each slide's script is analyzed for visual keywords and ChatSlide pulls a matching Pexels clip automatically, so you get cutaways without any manual editing. Toggle 'Sidebar avatar layout' in the Scripts step to try it.

AI Slides Now Use Your Uploaded Images

When a paid user uploads a PDF, PPTX, or DOCX, ChatSlide now extracts every embedded image and feeds them into the AI image pool — so the generated deck uses your own figures, charts, and screenshots instead of generic stock photos. A new banner also back-fills images for projects you uploaded before this change.

Slide Chat Adds Real Chart Pages

Ask the slide assistant for "a pie chart of Q3 revenue" or "a bar chart comparing 2025 vs 2026" and it now inserts an actual chart slide — same engine as the dedicated chart tool. Previously the chat would acknowledge the request and just add a plain text slide.

Turn PDF Figures into Slides (Pro+)

Upload a research PDF and convert each figure into its own slide — caption, source label, and the figure itself, parallelized across pages so even long papers finish quickly. Available on Pro and Ultimate plans.

Read Scripts on the Free Plan

Free users can now read every AI-generated script — not just the first 5 slides. Editing past slide 5 still requires Plus, but the content is no longer hidden behind a paywall, so you can review the whole deck before deciding to upgrade.

Snappier Template Picker

Template cards now respond instantly when you click them — with a press effect and a violet ring while the preview opens. No more wondering whether the click registered.
