If the presentation contains no comments, you'll receive a notification indicating no comments were found. The presentation may have been cleaned of comments before sharing, or comments may have been resolved and deleted. Check the original file in PowerPoint to confirm.

This tool focuses on text comments. Ink annotations (pen markings, drawings) are not extracted as they're visual elements rather than text. To capture ink annotations, consider converting the presentation to images or PDF which will include visible ink marks.

To extract comments from protected presentations, provide the password during upload. If the file allows viewing but restricts editing, the view password should be sufficient for reading comments. For fully encrypted files, use our unlock tool first.

We support PPTX format (PowerPoint 2007 and later) and legacy PPT format. Modern PPTX files have better comment support with features like threaded replies. Older PPT files may have simpler comment structures that still extract successfully.
